QUESTION: I got the flu from someone at work and now I can’t go in. I’m missing out on my regular pay, can I claim Worker’s Compensation?
ANSWER: Worker’s Compensation is paid when the reason you can’t work is because of an injury that has been proved to have occurred on the job or because of your job. A cold or flu is not considered a work-related injury.
